ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Check your grill brushes.

On July 2, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that Cuisinart has recalled over one million wire bristle brushes.

CPSC officials say the bristles on select models can detach, posing an ingestion hazard and risk of serious internal injury. There have been 54 reports of bristles detaching, including three that required medical treatment to remove bristles.

The recall applies to eight different models sold at TJ Maxx, Burlington, Ross, Amazon.com, and Cuisinart.com from June 2009 through March 2026. About 1,720,000 were sold individually and as part of grill sets.

Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled products and contact Conair for a full refund or a credit on Cusinart.com.
