ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The YMCA of Ithaca and Tompkins County has received additional funding to support its Out-of-School Time (OST) programs.

The YMCA will provide reduced-cost and free afterschool and full-day programming for families with school-aged children in the Ithaca, Groton, and Dryden school districts. The new funding means the YMCA aims to serve up to 45 youth by the end of the school year for 2025-26.

β€œAt the YMCA, we believe every child deserves a safe place to learn, grow, and feel like they belong. These funds open our doors wider to families who need support and ensure more kids in our community can benefit from the programming we provide,” says Rachael Jackson, Senior Director of Youth Development.

Families interested in enrolling in a YMCA OST program should contact Emily LeViere, Senior Director of Membership and Programs at eleviere@ithacaymca.com, to apply for the program and determine eligibility for reduced rates. Program rates will be based on individual household need.
