Trumansburg man charged with attempted grand larceny

ULYSSES, NY (607NewsNow) – A Trumansburg man awaits his day in court.

On April 19, the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple reports of larcenies in the Town of Ulysses.

Deputies say they located the suspect, 20-year-old Phoenix Morales Vico, in the area of the reported crimes and took him into custody. Morales Vico was allegedly trying to steal a motor vehicle and was found with multiple items that were reported stolen.

Morales Vico is facing felony attempted grand larceny and five misdemeanors, including two counts of criminal possession of stolen property, two counts of petit larceny, and possession of burglar’s tools.

The Trumansburg Police Department and NYS Park Police assisted with the investigation, which is ongoing.
