CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – Authorities remind you to heed traffic warnings.

On April 1, State Police were called to Cortland for a report of a disabled vehicle stuck in water on Kellogg Road, which was flooded.

The driver ignored multiple road closure signs and physically removed barriers to proceed down the roadway. Troopers say ignoring barriers puts you and first responders at risk. Flooded roadways may appear safe on the surface, but there could be debris or washed-out pavement underneath the water.
