Early morning gunfire reported in Ulysses

ULYSSES, NY (607NewsNow) – Authorities are investigating shots fired in Ulysses.

On August 3, members of the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) were called to the area of Perry City and Pine Ridge Roads around 2:20 a.m. after receiving a report of multiple gunshots.

When deputies arrived, they found seven spent handgun casings in the roadway. No property damage consistent with gunfire was found in the surrounding area. A neighbor reported hearing five gunshots about 20 minutes earlier near Perry City and Jacksonville Roads, though no evidence was found.

The investigation remains active, and TCSO has no leads, vehicle descriptions, or suspects.
