TCPL seeks art for 2026-2027 showcase

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Calling all artists and curators in the greater Ithaca area.

The Tompkins County Public Library (TCPL) is seeking individuals who would like their artwork showcased in the building.

The library hopes to have five seasonal exhibits through 2027 along the main walkway, The Avenue of the Friends, and a large, curved wall near the entrance.

  • Artwork must be wired and ready to hang on a single center hook
  • No pins or adhesives are permitted to be used on the walls
  • Artists/curators must assist with installation and take-down of the show during normal library operating hours
  • TCPL strongly encourages applications that contribute to its ongoing commitment to diversity, learning, and community
  • Applicants must currently reside or work in Tompkins County or one of the additional counties served in the Finger Lakes Library System: Cortland, Tioga, Cayuga, Seneca
