ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Grant money is covering the costs of a new roof.

State Sen. Lea Webb says $70,000 from the New York State Senate’s Community Resiliency, Economic Sustainability, and Technology (CREST) Program will go to the Rural Health Network of South Central New York.

“We are so thankful for the money Senator Webb was able to provide for our roof. Here at the Rural Health Network, we work hard to ensure all of our residents have access to the high quality care they need and deserve,” Executive Director Epiphany Munoz said. “Making improvements to our building means we can continue to do what we do best, supporting our residents and fighting for a healthier community.”

“The Rural Health Network has been an invaluable resource for families across the Southern Tier, connecting people with the programs and services they need to live healthier lives. This $70,000 CREST investment will help ensure their facility remains safe and functional, enabling them to continue serving our community for years to come,” Webb said. “I am proud to secure funding that supports the long-term sustainability of an organization that does so much to improve the health and well-being of our region.”

The Rural Health Network of SCNY serves 10 counties, including Tompkins and Cortland.
