CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – Upcoming renovations will limit service at the Cortland County YMCA.

Beginning August 31, the Fitness Center will be closed to accommodate the work, including the installation of new flooring, ceiling tiles, pin and weight machines, a fresh coat of paint, and a new functional fitness section.

Officials say some cardio equipment will be available in the spinning room during the closure, except during Monday and Thursday night spin classes. Members can also use YMCA facilities in Ithaca and Syracuse while the renovation project is completed. The Fitness Center is scheduled to reopen October 1.

Later next month, the pool will be closed for tile work and repairs from last winter. That closure is scheduled from September 21 to September 26.
