Public comment period opens for Tioga County SNAP plan

OWEGO, NY (607NewsNow) — Tioga County is accepting feedback about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.

The 2026-to-2027 Temporary Assistance and SNAP Employment Plan is available for public review and comment, as established by the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance and the New York State Department of Labor. A draft of the plan is available in the Department of Social Services commissioner’s office (Health & Human Services Building, 1062 Route 38, Owego) until Nov. 13.
