Update: Vestal Police say missing 86-year-old woman located

Update, 4:45 p.m. The Vestal Police Department says Janice Short has been located.


VESTAL, NY (607NewsNow) – Authorities are searching for a missing vulnerable adult in Broome County.

Vestal Town Police say 86-year-old Janice Short was last seen walking along Tracy Creek Road in Vestal around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.

According to WENY-TV, Short was wearing a purple winter jacket, blue jeans, white sneakers, and a white knight hat. She may need medical attention.

Anyone who spots Short or knows where she may be is asked to call 911 immediately.
