(607NewsNow) — Our pets of the week start with Emu (Top L) and Marshmallow (Top R) from CNY Snap.

Emu was born on April 29th, 2025, and her foster mom describes her as being very sweet. With a loud purr, she will always let you know when she wants attention. Although she’s not always in the mood to be picked up, she will make sure she’s in the same room as you and loves to snuggle after a long day. She has been spayed, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and is microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Marshmallow was born on the same day as Emu and is playful and full of energy. He’s very curious and likes to explore, but does have plenty of moments where he likes to cuddle and will jump up onto your lap. He has been neutered, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and is microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Next, we have Autumn (Bottom L) and Lyric (Bottom R) from the Cortland County SPCA. Autumn is about 4 to 5 years old and came to the shelter as a stray who was found with three kittens of weaning age. She is quite reserved and calm most of the time. Although her grumbling may sound like she’s upset, she truly just has a distinctive way of talking and is affectionate and appreciates pets and attention.

Lyric is a little over 6 years old and is a very loving, sweet guy who loves showing affection. His namesake is indicative of the fact that he loves to make himself known with a meow and will immediately go up to people for some love. He is very friendly to humans and other cats as he came into the shelter with his two sisters.
