(607NewsNow) — Our pets of the week start with Pishi (Top L) and Barbie (Top R) from CNY Snap.

Pishi came to the shelter in 2025 after showing up at someone’s door cold and hungry with an injured back leg. Since then, she has recovered and is ready to find a calm and safe home. She can be approached, but is a little shy in the busy shelter environment so moving slowly makes it easier to greet her. Pishi has been spayed, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and is microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Barbie came to the shelter in June of 2023 with her baby Ken. Her son was quickly adopted, but Barbie has had less luck with finding a home. At 3 years old, she has spent most of her life in the shelter and seems to have lost a bit of her enthusiasm but is still a sweet and friendly cat who would feel more comfortable being herself in a loving home. She has also been spayed, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and is microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Next, we have Winifred (Bottom L) and Franklin (Bottom R) from the Cortland County SPCA. Winifred is a sweet and playful puppy who is about 9 months old. She can be a little shy at first, but shows her affection and curiosity once she warms up. She loves to learn new tricks and explore her surroundings and would make a loyal, smart companion.

Franklin is 6 months old and has lots of love to give. Being so young, he can be a little shy and skittish in new environments, but is very sweet and friendly once he gets adjusted. He loves to play and would do well in a patient home that gives him time to get comfortable and be himself.
