Osborne to run for 3rd term as Tompkins County sheriff

LANSING, NY (607NewsNow) — Tompkins County Sheriff Derek Osborne is running for a third term.

Osborne announced his future plans Thursday, Oct. 23 on Ithaca’s Morning News, where he said he’s loved the work.

Despite nearing the end of his second term, Osborne says he has more to accomplish on the job.

Osborne cites creation of an online transparency hub, accreditation, and establishing satellite office as some of his accomplishments as sheriff. He’s up for re-election next year.
