Officials: Walmart brand dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets could contain lead

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Officials have issued a public health alert about a popular product sold at Walmart.

According to the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service, 29-oz. bags of Great Value fully cooked dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets may contain unsafe levels of lead.

A state partner discovered the issue during routine surveillance sampling. The nuggets are no longer available for purchase, but officials are concerned they may be in customers’ freezers. The product should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
