LOVELAND, Colo. (607NewsNow) — Cornell men’s hockey players are keeping their heads held high.

On Friday, the Big Red fell to Denver 5-0 in the NCAA tournament. The loss ended Cornell’s season.

After the game, Cornell captain Ryan Walsh reflected on the 2025-2026 campaign.

“If you asked me at the start of the year if we’d be a top 10 program for pretty much most of the season . . . I’d be pretty happy with that,” he said.

Walsh added it was a “great year.” The Big Red ended the season with an overall record of 22-11-1.

Denver, meanwhile, is advancing to the Frozen Four. The Pioneers will face Michigan on April 9 in Las Vegas.
