ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A new school year is just around the corner at Cornell.

You may notice more traffic on streets and stores today, as the Big Red’s new student move-in week has begun.

Jessup Road, Cradit Farm Drive, and all North Campus parking lots are closed to accommodate students and their families. They’re scheduled to reopen on August 19.  Any additional restrictions will be indicated with on-site signage.

On August 18 and 21, West Ave will be one-way southbound and limited to move-in traffic.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid campus, if possible, or plan for a longer commute. Eligible employees have also been encouraged to work remotely. More information is available here.

In related news, over on South Hill, JumpStart students, international students, and certain fall athletes begin moving into their dorms today. On August 19, first-year and transfer students are scheduled to move in, and upperclassmen in the Towers and Circle Apartments will return over the weekend.

SUNY Cortland’s Move-In takes place August 27-30.
