ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Ithaca College will soon begin searching for a new women’s basketball head coach.

On March 25, Dan Raymond announced that he’ll retire at the end of the semester.

Raymond has led the women’s basketball program since 2000, posting 18 20-win seasons, appearing in the NCAA playoffs 17 times, and coaching the only seven All-Americans in program history. Raymond was named Conference Coach of the Year eight times and was named D3hoops.com’s Regional Coach of the Year three consecutive seasons.

Raymond has also served as an assistant coach for the IC softball team since 2010, which included two trips to the World Series. He retires as the winningest coach in women’s hoops history.
