ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Funding is available from the Friends of the Tompkins County Public Library.

The group is inviting non-profits, civic and educational groups, and government agencies to apply for a Community Organization Grant.

They’re looking for proposals that focus on improving literacy, education, or skills building for kids and/or adults. Initiatives that actively encourage reading and learning are preferred, and priority will be given to projects that assist low-income or high-needs residents. Selected programs or projects must take place by the end of the year. Grant amounts typically are awarded up to $1,000.

Learn more about the grant here by clicking on the “Community Grants” button.

Awards will be announced in mid-April. All applications must be submitted to FOLtcplCOMgrants@gmail.com by March 31.
