‘Cuse football crushes Colgate; Bills ground Jets

Back-to-back wins for the Syracuse football team. On Friday, the Orange crushed Colgate 66-24 at the JMA Wireless Dome. ‘Cuse Head Coach Fran Brown said the student section did an “amazing job.”

The Ithaca College football team outscored Alfred 45-14 on Saturday. Ithaca quarterback Matt Parker led the way with three touchdowns.

The SUNY Cortland football team beat Union 30-6 on Saturday. The victory marked Cortland’s first win under new head coach Tom Blumenauer.

The Bills grounded the Jets 30-10 on Sunday. James Cook had two rushing touchdowns in the victory.

The Giants couldn’t stop the Cowboys. On Sunday, New York lost 40-37 in overtime. Giants Head Coach Brian Daboll said it was a “tough result.”

The Mets snapped their eight-game losing streak. On Sunday, New York beat Texas 5-2. Pete Alonso ended the game with a walk-off home run in the 10th inning.

The Yankees fell to the Red Sox 6-4 on Sunday. New York is 1.5 games ahead of Boston in the standings. The Yanks start a new series tonight in Minnesota at 7:40 p.m.

Three straight wins for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. Binghamton blanked Portland 1-0 on Sunday.
