Cortland PD announces arrest in mural vandalism at Hollywood Restaurant

CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — The Cortland Police Department says they found a suspected vandal. 

Last week, a mural featuring rock legend and Cortland-native Ronnie James Dio at the Hollywood Restaurant on Groton Ave. was graffitied.

Police Chief David Guerrera says 41-year-old Andrew Grant was arrested Saturday, July 25. Grant is accused of vandalizing several buildings and property over a 5-hour stretch between 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 22 and 3 a.m. Thursday, July 23.

Grant was charged with 11 misdemeanor counts of making graffiti.
