Cortland County Sheriff’s Office holds 2025 Corrections Division Awards

CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office is celebrating its corrections officers.

On February 9, Sheriff Mark Helms and Undersheriff Chad Burhans held the annual awards Corrections Division ceremony.

Sergeant Tyler Burhans was named Officer of the Year. Eight others received a Certificate of Recognition for their work related to incidents in 2025, and five more were given a Certificate of Appreciation for exemplifying the Sheriff’s Office’s morals, values, and mission.
