ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – The City of Ithaca is trying to provide a boost for local businesses this holiday season.

Beginning December 20, all parking fees will be waived, citywide.

It includes metered street parking and all city-owned parking garages, which include the Dryden Road garage, Green Street garage, and Seneca Street garage. The Cayuga Street garage, owned by Premium Parking, will also be free.

“Free parking makes it easier for residents and visitors to support businesses during the holiday season, boosting the local economy,” said Ithaca City Manager Deb Mohlenhoff. “Offering free parking is a way to thank the community and make holiday outings more convenient and enjoyable for everyone.”

The free parking period runs through December 28.
