ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Ithaca is asking anyone interested in helping to shape the city to come forward.

Ahead of rewriting its zoning code, the city seeks new members to serve on the Zoning Advisory Committee.

Zoning codes regulate how the city uses and develops its land, and the new code will focus on increasing housing, transitioning to clean energy, integrating green space and infrastructure, and addressing floodplain development.

Successful candidates can expect up to two monthly meetings over 18-24 months, with additional public outreach events.

Applications are due by November 17. More information is available here.
