CAYUGA, NY (607NewsNow) – A Cayuga man is facing charges after an 18-month investigation.

On October 13, Douglas Baker was arrested by State Police without incident.

In April 2024, investigators received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about suspected child sexual exploitation material being shared through a social media platform. After Baker was developed as a suspect, troopers seized electronic devices from the 23-year-old’s home in July 2024 for forensic analysis.

Baker is charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child less than 17 years of age, and possessing a sexual performance by a child, both felonies.
