ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Cayuga Chamber Orchestra continues its 2025–26 Orchestral Series with Ebb and Flow on Saturday, November 22 at 7:30 p.m. at Ithaca College’s Ford Hall.

Music Director Guillaume Pirard will lead the ensemble in a stirring program featuring violinist Johnny Gandelsman, a 2024 MacArthur Fellow, performing alongside the orchestra in a concert celebrating the timeless works of Mendelssohn and Brahms.

A Pre-Concert Chat with the artists begins at 6:30 p.m. in Hockett Recital Hall.

Called “A violinist who can do anything” by The Philadelphia Inquirer, Grammy-winning violinist and producer Johnny Gandelsman brings an extraordinary range of creative influences to his performances, shaping a sound and approach that is uniquely his own. The New Yorker’s Richard Brody has described Gandelsman as “revelatory” in concert, placing him among “radically transformative” performers such as Maurizio Pollini, Peter Serkin, and Christian Zacharias.
