ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Cayuga Health has announced that the Cayuga Cancer Center has earned re-accreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR) for Radiation Medicine, recognizing the center’s ongoing excellence in patient safety, quality, and care.

The Cayuga Cancer Center provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art cancer care close to home. Patients benefit from advanced technology, expert medical and radiation oncology, surgical services, and a wide range of supportive programs. The center also offers palliative care, counseling, and patient navigation, working closely with community partners such as the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes. Through a multidisciplinary approach, every patient receives coordinated, personalized care throughout their cancer journey.

The ACR accreditation is widely regarded as the gold standard in radiation oncology, awarded only to facilities that meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The rigorous evaluation includes review of staff qualifications, equipment, and treatment protocols. The Falck Cancer Center at Arnot Health, another Centralus Health affiliate, also holds ACR accreditation in Radiation Medicine, demonstrating the network’s shared commitment to excellence in cancer care across the region.

“Re-accreditation from the ACR underscores our commitment to delivering the highest quality cancer care to our community,” said Jennifer Turck, AVP of Operations and Service Lines for Cayuga Health. “This achievement reflects the skill and dedication of the Radiation Medicine team and their focus on safe, effective, and compassionate treatment for every patient.”

Centralus Health remains dedicated to expanding access to high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the Finger Lakes and Centralus New York regions. For more information, visit centralushealth.org
