Bills remain unbeaten; Mets miss playoffs

The Bills picked up another win on Sunday. Buffalo beat New Orleans 31-19. James Cook had 117 rushing yards and a touchdown in the victory.

The Giants upset the Chargers 21-18 on Sunday. Rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart had 111 passing yards in the win. The victory improves New York’s overall record to 1-3.

The Jets visit the Dolphins tonight at 7:15 p.m. Neither team has won a game this season. Justin Fields will start at quarterback for the Jets; he missed last game with a concussion.

The Cornell football team fell to Yale 41-24 on Saturday. The game was tied at halftime, but the Bulldogs pulled away in the second half. Cornell quarterback Devin Page threw four interceptions in the loss.

Three straight wins for the Ithaca College football team. On Saturday, the Bombers beat Hobart 13-7. Ithaca quarterback Matt Parker had 140 passing yards in the victory.

The SUNY Cortland football team dominated Morrisville 48-3 on Saturday. Cortland quarterback Mike Rescigno threw four touchdowns in the victory. The Red Dragons are riding a three-game win streak.

No luck for the Syracuse football team. On Saturday, the Orange fell to Duke 38-3. Syracuse had three turnovers in the loss.

The Mets will not compete in the playoffs. New York lost to Miami 4-0 on Sunday to wrap up the regular season. After the game, slugger Pete Alonso said the Mets left “a lot” of meat on the bone.

The Yankees beat the Orioles 3-2 on Sunday to conclude the regular season. Ben Rice hit two home runs in the win. On Tuesday night, the pinstripes will host the Red Sox for Game 1 of their playoff series.
