Additional charge filed against accused Corning rapist

CORNING, NY (607NewsNow) — An accused Corning rapist faces another charge.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office says Jonathan Rivaldo assaulted another inmate Sunday, Aug. 16 behind bars. Rivaldo, who’s 29, was arrested in July for the alleged rape of a 90-year-old woman. She died a week later.

Rivaldo is back in Steuben County jail without bail. The injured inmate was treated by medical staff at the jail.
