ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Tompkins County wants Ithaca to clean up ‘the Jungle.’

Earlier this month, FingerLakesOne.com reports city officials received a note from Tompkins County Environmental Health that a stretch of the homeless encampment is filled with used needles, shopping carts, and other junk.

The city has until May 10 to clean up the homeless site, which remains a major topic for both the Common Council and Tompkins County Legislature.
