We first told you last week that the Lansing Central School District received word that a new septic system planned for the middle school may conflict with a Native American burial site.
Now, it appears that the State and National Registers of Historic Places has backed off its request for an archaeological survey, according to the Lansing Star Online.
A state official confirmed that the project will not interfere with cultural sites.
The $4.1 million project was approved by district voters in May.
