Police search for leads in fatal TCAT accident

The Cayuga Heights Police Department is asking for the public’s help for more information on a fatal TCAT bus accident that took the life of a Cornell University employee.

Angela F. Stedwell, 55, of Spencer, was struck by a TCAT bus at around 7:25 a.m. on Jan. 26 as she was walking along Jessup Road.

Stedwell was an employee at Cornell’s College of Human Ecology.

“The Cayuga heights Police Department has examined all reported leads but would like to ask the community for help,” Police Chief James M. Steinmetz said in a statement.

Anyone who was in the area of Jessup Road and the entrance to the A-Lot at the time of the accident is being asked to contact the police department at 607-257-1011.
