Jacob Walsh, 30, of Newfield/New York State Police

A Newfield man has been arrested after he allegedly robbed the Turning Stone Casino in Verona Tuesday night.

Police say Jacob Walsh, 30, walked into the casino around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, and approached a cashier window.

Police say he told the cashier he had a weapon, and then ordered her to fill his backpack with money.

Walsh only got as far as a wooded area near Exit 33 of the State Thruway, where police arrested him.

He’s been charged with robbery, and is now in the Oneida County Jail.
