ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — After more than four decades at the Ithaca Police Department, Deputy Chief Vince Monticello is near the end of his long career. 

Monticello tells WHCU he never planned such a long tenure at IPD. 

As he prepares to retire, the Monticello shared some advice for the police officers of tomorrow. 

Monticello will retire in August.
