Local 7th grader wins big on Chopped Jr.

CORNING, N.Y. – A Corning-Painted Post 7th grader’s made it big after winning on the popular culinary tv show – Chopped Jr.

12-year-old Owen Roloson took on the challenge as his first cooking competition.

After winning his episode, Owen will be donating $2,000 of his $10,000 winnings to World Hope International, a charity that drills wells in Africa for clean water.

WENY reports he’s also writing his own cookbook which he hopes will help him save money for culinary school.
