HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WHCU) – A Chemung County man awaits his day in court.
State Police arrested Richard Fernandez, of Elmira, Wednesday, July 12 after a stolen vehicle investigation. The 38-year-old allegedly broke into a learning center in Horseheads, obtained keys to a 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander, and stole it from the property.
Authorities were able to recover the vehicle during the course of the investigation. Fernandez is charged with felonies of burglary and grand larceny. He’s being held in Chemung County Jail on $25,000 cash bail.
