ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A freshman at Cornell has died. 

Matthew Friedman was a native of New Jersey in his first year at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. University officials say Friedman was found unresponsive Wednesday in his dorm room. His death is under investigation. 

According to 14850.com, Friedman was an EMT volunteer in his hometown and wanted to be a doctor.
