Ithaca, NY (WHCU) – Natalie Nesvaderani, a doctoral student in anthropology at Cornell University, was recently selected as a recipient of the Charlotte W. Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship.
Nesvaderani’s one of just 23 individuals chosen for the honor in the 2019-20 academic year. She’s studying the intersection of documentary film, migration and children’s labor in the country of Iran.
Nesvaderani’s research interests were partially influenced by her time spent as a Fulbright scholarship recipient, when she worked as a legal advisor for unaccompanied refugee minors in Egypt.
