Ithaca, NY (WHCU) – Three Cornell professors and astronomers have been appointed to panel membership for the Decadal Survey on Astronomy and Astrophysics.
It’s a partnership between the National Academies and the astronomical community to identify key priorities in astronomy and astrophysics. Nikole Lewis, Gordon Stacey, and Martha Haynes will participate in the survey, known as Astro2020.
It runs every 10 years and aims to provide multiple federal agencies with input for strategic planning and budgeting going into the next decade.
