Arrest made in Elmira Savings Bank robbery

A 28-year-old Cortland man was arrested in Ithaca Friday in connection with a robbery that happened at Elmira Savings Bank on East State Street.

Police were able to obtain surveillance footage of the suspect, who has been identified as Ian Miles. He was seen leaving the bank at around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Miles was found walking along the 200 block of South Cayuga Street at around 1 p.m. Friday. Police arrested him without incident.

Miles was charged with robbery in the third degree, a Class D felony. He was taken to Tompkins County Jail on $15,000 cash bail.
