After unveiling a live version of their new song “Lords of Summer” last week at a concert in Bogota, Colombia, Metallica Wednesday shared what they called a “garage demo version” of the 8:20 track in a posted to YouTube. The pedal to the metal, mile-a-minute tune is reminiscent of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group’s 80’s era sound, featuring guitarist Kirk Hammett ripping off a furious solo.
