In a new interview with Billboard, rootsy singer Patty Griffin championed the release of her new album, American Kid (out today) featuring Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant on three tracks, including the lead single “Ohio.” She also took the opportunity to clear up all the rumors regarding her personal relationship with Plant, confirming they are romantically linked but “not legally married.” As for their professional rapport, she said, “We get a lot of energy from each other’s singing. He inspires me. He goes far and deep.”
