THIS WEEK: Metallica – “Wherever I May Roam” (Live in San Diego, 1992)

  • FYI:This week marks 35 years since Metallica released the album that changed everything for the band. Released August 12, 1991, Metallica (better known as The Black Album) was the band’s fifth studio album and marked a significant shift in their sound. Moving away from some of the thrash metal complexity of their earlier records, Metallica embraced a heavier, more streamlined sound that would reach an entirely new audience. The Black Album became a massive worldwide success and remains one of the most iconic and influential rock albums of its era.
