BOB DYLAN WILL BE DAVID LETTERMAN’S FINAL MUSICAL GUEST
Bob Dylan will serve as David Letterman’s last musical guest on Tuesday night (May 19th) for the second-to-final episode of CBS’ The Late Show, according to AVclub.com. Joining Dylan will be Bill Murray, who served as Letterman’s premiere guest in 1982 on his NBC series Late Night. Tonight (Monday, May 18th), Tom Hanks and Eddie Vedder will join Letterman for their final time.

Dylan, who has shied away from live TV for most of his career, first appeared on Late Night on March 22nd, 1984 and then over a decade letter appeared on the show’s 10th anniversary special on February 6th, 1992, followed by his last appearance till this week, during the first season of Letterman’s CBS run, performing on November 18th, 1993.
•Dylan wrapped up his North America run last night (May 17th) in Letterman’s home state of Indiana at South Bend’s Morris Performing Arts Center, and hits the road again next month for an 18-date summer trek through Germany, Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Spain, France, and Switzerland.
