CHECK IT OUT: The Grateful Dead on April 26th, 1977 performing “Deal” live in Passaic, New Jersey:
FYI:
The rumors persist that the Grateful Dead will play a few Bay Area dates prior to their trio of Fare Thee Well: Celebrating 50 Years of Grateful Dead career-closing shows at Chicago’s Soldier’s’s Field On July 3rd, 4th, and 5th. According to Sports Business Daily, the Dead are supposedly shoring up plants to play June 27th and 28th at Santa Clara, California’s Levi’s Stadium, due to the overwhelming demand in tickets for the three Chicago dates.
In addition to Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, and Mickey Hart, joining the band for the Fare Thee Well shows will be Phish‘s Trey Anastasio, early-’90s Grateful Dead pianist Bruce Hornsby, and RatDog, Furthur, and Dead keyboardist Jeff Chimenti.
