Dio Day 2026 is officially on the calendar.

For more than a decade the Dio Day committee has raised money for the Dio Day Music Scholarship, awarded every year to a Cortland High School student — the same school Ronnie James Dio graduated from.

This year, Dio Day happens Sunday, July 19th, at the Cortland Music Park — a venue we are so excited about. Tons of space, deep Cortland roots, and the perfect place to celebrate Ronnie’s legacy. Camping is available!

The band lineup is (in specific no order):

Headlining: Holy Mother

Long Island metal vets Holy Mother have been cranking out their hard-driving sound since 1994. Their music pulls from the heavy riff power of Black Sabbath, the galloping energy of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, with some darker modern textures fans of Tool and Korn might recognize. And underneath it all, there’s even that big, catchy rock feel you’d expect from KISS. The band’s still going strong and lining up shows for 2026, including a special New York appearance.

  • The High Road (Kat’s Band)
  • Billy Golicki – Billy and the Therapists
  • Yayle Hues
  • Throw down Cold
  • Catalyst
  • Defining 13
  • Elderly Bros
  • Jim Van Duesen

Each Band Is donating their time and talent for the cause which is deeply appreciated.

We’re also hoping to bring back the Ride for Dio motorcycle run this year, which makes this even more special.

So save the date: Sunday, July 19th — and you can follow Dio Day Cortland on Facebook to stay up to date as more details roll out.
