Taylor Swift sets Songwriters Award record

NEW YORK (AP) — Taylor Swift has set a record with the Nashville Songwriters Association International.

She has been named its songwriter/artist of the year again this year.

That’s her sixth win — moving her ahead of Vince Gill and Alan Jackson — who have each won five.

At age 23, Swift is also the youngest artist to win the honor.

Her six awards will be displayed at the Taylor Swift Education Center, which opens Saturday at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. Swift donated $4 million to the center.
