Alice Cooper offered a few details about his upcoming cover album in a new interview.

Cooper told Billboard that he’s “three-quarters of the way through” recording the album, which will honor stars including John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Keith Moon and Harry Nilsson.

The entire track list hasn’t been released, but Cooper mentioned fours songs on the album that he and his band have been performing on tour: The Doors’ “Break On Through,” the Beatles’ “Revolution,” Jimi Hendrix’s “Foxey Lady,” and the Who’s “My Generation.”

“We’re really happy, all of us, everyone involved in the covers because it’s pretty much what we wanted to do,” he said. “We specified a certain time period and said, ‘Let’s stay within that. Let’s not move it around too much.’ We don’t want to be doing cover songs from the 80s and 90s when the Hollywood vampires kind of thing was more ’73, ’74, ’75.”

Cooper and the band will likely return to the studio in September to finish the yet-unnamed album.
