Using radar, satellites, cameras and a little bit of magic, more than 1,000 volunteers will man the phones and keep tabs on the whereabouts of Santa and provide live updates through Christmas Eve. iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: NORAD Santa Tracker iTunes app (optimized for iPhone 5)

Android: Download the Santa Tracker for Android in Google Play.

OnStar: If you have an OnStar equipped vehicle, you can push the blue OnStar button from 7 a.m. on Dec. 24 until 5 a.m. on Dec. 25 to get an update on the whereabouts of Santa.

Social media: You can also check in with NORAD via Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google Plus.
