Rocker Jack White has thrilled fans by revealing he will have a new solo record ready for release by the end of the month.

The former White Stripes star hasn’t released an album of his own since 2012′s “Blunderbuss,” his debut solo material.

In a recent chat with fans on the message board of his label, Third Man Records, White revealed: “I’m producing two albums this month, and finishing them. One of them is mine.”

In an interview with Rolling Stone last year, White mentioned he already had 20 to 25 songs written for the forthcoming solo album – a record that won’t be tied down to one genre.

He explained, “It’s definitely not one sound. It’s definitely several. Like you heard in ‘Blunderbuss,’ there’s many different styles there. I don’t pick my style and then write a song. I just write whatever comes out of me, and whatever style it is is what it is, and it becomes something later.”
