Singer Bret Michaels has abruptly ended a concert after suffering a medical emergency.

Guitarist Pete Evick says on Michaels’ Facebook page that Michaels was three songs into his set in Manchester, New Hampshire last night when he rushed from the stage.

A crew member reports the former Poison lead singer’s blood sugar was extremely low.

Michaels was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes as a child. Michaels returned to the stage — but only to inform the audience that he couldn’t continue.

In later posts in Twitter and Facebook, Michaels thanks the paramedics who provided assistance.
